Elaine worked as a homemaker and also brought in additional children that she babysat.  Once her children were older she worked in a bank and for the State of Alaska with the Longevity Bonus for 10 years. "

Saturday Oct 21, 2017 at 1PM at St. Paul's Church

There will be a memorial service for Fr. Tony at St. Paul's.

Fr. Tony Dummer passed Monday evening October 2, 2017 while in hospice care in Buffalo, MN.

Fr. Tony became ordained as a priest with the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), June 29, 1984. His favorite assignment was with St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Juneau, AK. Fr. Tony came to St. Paul’s in July 1999 where he remained until June 2008.  During his tenure he oversaw the building of the new St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
He is probably most remembered by many Juneau residents (non-Catholic as well as Catholic) for his contributions to ACTS, in particular, the ecumenical fellowship that developed during his assignment at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Fr. Tony was directly responsible for the conversion of several members of the Juneau ACTS community to Catholicism and opening the eyes of faith to numerous others who were looking for a faith community.

Fr. Tony attended his first ACTS as a retreatant in 1999.  Following this, he dedicated much time and energy to nurturing ACTS and the ACTS community flourished under his guidance and leadership. He facilitated the missioning of ACTS by the Juneau Mission Board to Wasilla, AK, and later participated in the missioning of ACTS to the Kenai Peninsula.
Fr. Tony remains in the minds and hearts of all those who came to know him.
If you have questions or want to help in any way, contact Sandy Nolan in the office at St. Paul's Church 789-7307.

Please forward or share this.

Please pray for Fr Tony

Fr. Tony is very ill and needs prayers as he makes the transition to his heavenly home.
He was pastor at St Paul's for many years in the late 1990s and 2000s.
Fr Tony Dummer was very supportive of ACTS retreats.
He touched many people while in Juneau and 'retired' to the mid west several years ago.
Please pass along to any Prayer Warriors you know.
